Every friend dreads the day that they get the phone call asking for help moving them to a new house. Of course, most will do it because they expect the same favor in return one day (and because they love you, obviously) but that does not mean that the process itself isn't somewhat inconvenient. The thing is that everyone knows that this favor sucks, and yet no one is willing to break the cycle, until now. Here are a few reasons why you should always use local movers over dragging your friends into helping you move, and why you'll both be better off for it.

Better Service

When you pay someone to organize a move for you, they take a lot more care and show a lot more enthusiasm for moving all your heavy and fragile objects. Not only that, but they know how to maneuver these items safely with little to no risk of the furniture getting scuffed or damaged in transport. While your friends might be cheaper, they likely won't do as good a job as your local movers will. You won't have to walk on eggshells around your movers, which makes the day a lot easier for everyone.

Quicker

While they definitely take more care of your belongings while moving them, they also do it faster than your friends might be able to. While your pals might be differing fitness levels and some could get through a mountain of work fairly easily, most will struggle and require frequent breaks. Moving stuff that is big and heavy is not as simple as it looks, especially if stairs or uneven surfaces are involved. On moving day, all you really want to do is get to your new home, and local movers that are specifically paid to be strong enough to move your heaviest objects are going to help you get there quicker.

Enjoy It More

This is a big day, after all, it is not often that you move into a new house. You should try to enjoy it as much as possible by celebrating with your friends. Instead, welcome the new home with a party or maybe say goodbye to the old home with a farewell drink. Moving day doesn't have to be stressful when you don't even have to pay that much to get all your items moved securely and keep all of your friends on your good side!
